Mechanical Screw Grate
Evsel They are fine screens that are used in the treatment of wastes originating from the process waters of many industrial facilities such as food, paper, plastic, fish processing facilities, after coarse screening in domestic wastewater treatment plants, and that increase process efficiency by providing a high level of TSS (Total Suspended Solid) removal. MECHANICAL SCREW SCREENS, which can be produced from AISI 304 and AISI 316 quality stainless steel, have two different application methods: Basket Spiral or Rotating Drum, depending on the type of wastewater to be screened, its flow rate and where it will be applied.
Basket Spiral Mechanical Screen; They can be used in small-capacity facilities, by placing them directly into the duct or by integrating them into a tank. Solid wastes in the wastewater are held by the surface made of perforated or V-shaped special profiles. Spiral conveyor wrapped with a brush made of special material carries the wastes towards the pouring chute. The wastes coming out of the pouring mouth are transferred to the container or to the transport system. In the MECHANICAL SCREW SCREENS, which are mounted at an angle, the pressing process is realized at the same time with the resistance caused by friction during the transportation of the wastes.

Rotating Drum Screen; They are preferred in large-capacity facilities and can be used directly by putting them into the duct and mounting them. . Solid wastes in the wastewater are held by the inner surface of the drum, which is made of perforated or V-shaped special profiles. The drum surface gets clogged over time due to the solid wastes trapped. As the grating process decreases, the drum starts to rotate to be cleaned when the water level in front of the Rotary Drum Screen starts to rise. The cleaning brush made of special material in the Rotating Drum Screen throws the waste into the chute to which the screw conveyor is connected. Screw conveyor carries the wastes towards the pouring chute. The wastes coming out of the pouring mouth are transferred to the container or the transport system.
