Mixers
In the preparation of chemical solutions in water and wastewater treatment plants, many stages are needed, such as mixing the chemical with slurry during homogenization of the dissolved solution with water or wastewater or during sludge dewatering intervals.
In the selection of the mixer to be used in treatment facilities, the correct mixer design is made depending on many factors such as the type of solution to be prepared, the size of the pool in which it will be mixed, the speed gradient and its place in the process.
High speed Turbine Type-Fast Mixer is preferred in the preparation of chemical solutions or to obtain the desired mixture in coagulation units. In flocculation processes, a low-speed Pallet Type-Slow Mixer is designed to ensure that the flocs formed do not disperse and a high rate of floc formation occurs. Mixers, which directly affect the process efficiency in treatment plants, are made of AISI 304 or AISI 316 quality stainless steel.
