Polyelectrolyte Preparation Unit
Preparation of polyelectrolyte to be dosed into the flocculation (Slow Mixer) units of water treatment plants, preparation of polymers to be dosed before the dewatering process of sludge formed in water and wastewater treatment plants, and preparation of polymers to be used in many industrial processes are carried out by Automatic Poly Preparation Units.
Automatic Poly Preparation Units consist of dry poly feeding hopper and feeder, poly preparation chamber and fast mixer, maturation compartment and slow mixer, storage compartment, inlet water line instruments and control panel. The system is made of AISI 304 OR AISI 316 Stainless material.
The powder placed in the dry poly feeding hopper is conveyed to the poly preparation chamber with the help of the poly screw, and contact with water is ensured, homogeneity is achieved with the high-speed mixer in this chamber, and thus the dissolution process is achieved. With the help of instruments on the service water line, the pressure and flow of the incoming water is controlled and monitored, and any impurities in it are retained. The homogeneous solution in the preparation unit is taken to the maturation compartment with the help of a weir. The mixer in this compartment rotates at a lower speed. The polymer solution, which is ready to be given to the system, passes into the storage chamber by weir. Dosing pumps perform the dosing process by sucking from this chamber. The continuation or stopping of the solution preparation process is controlled through the level rods located in the storage chamber.
