In wastewater treatment plants, the sludge that settles to the bottom in the stagnant hydraulic conditions of the sedimentation tank is controlled and removed according to the combined container system principle with these valves.
In the system, which consists of two parts, one fixed and the other movable, the sealing process is done with a special gasket. By moving the moving part up and down with the help of a screw, the level difference between the two chambers is adjusted and liquid flow is ensured.
Valves made of AISI 304 or AISI 316 quality stainless steel are designed as manual (hand operated) in places where the on-off operation is less frequent and the torque power is low, depending on the operating modes and conditions. It is designed with motor control (actuator) in cases where the on-off operation is very frequent, where this operation must be carried out at a certain time and where the torque power is high.
