Wastewater Treatment Plant
Wastewater treatment includes one or more of the physical, chemical and biological processes applied in order to make the wastewater generated as a result of various uses do not change the physical, chemical, bacteriological and ecological characteristics of the environment where they are discharged.
In order to remove the pollutants in the wastewater, primary, secondary and advanced treatment methods are used according to the wastewater character. Primary treatment includes physical treatment units that remove floating and settleable solids from wastewater. Secondary treatment includes biological and or chemical treatment units used in the removal of organic substances. In addition to these processes, advanced treatment includes the processes used to remove pollutants that are not removed in secondary treatment. The most important factor in the design of wastewater treatment systems is the selection of the right and economical process.
